GENMICO

MYCOBACTERIAL GENETICS GROUP

Since 1992, research at GGM is focused on the molecular epidemiology of tuberculosis, resistance mechanisms, development of new drugs and therapies, and construction and development of new vaccines against tuberculosis.

Our work is part of different research projects, in collaboration with numerous national and international groups. We belong to the Department of Microbiology, Pediatrics, Radiology and Public Health of the University of Zaragoza and since 2003 we are a recognized research group of the DGA. Since 2007, our group has been integrated into the Spanish Research Network on Respiratory Diseases, CIBERES, and we are also part of the Aragon Health Research Institute (IISA)

Our main objective is to broaden the knowledge of the tuberculosis bacillus and other pathogenic microorganisms in a multidisciplinary way, in order to be able to transfer new tools that contribute to the control of different diseases.

Since 1992

Researching Mycobacteries
